Vesti.az: Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Imre Laslotski: If you read Our Father in the language of the descendants of Hungarian Kypchaks, present-day Kazakhs will understand what is said there

Vesti.az, in an article by Ismail Fatalyiev entitled “Казахстан глазами азербайджанского журналиста”– “Kazakhstan through the eyes of an Azerbaijani journalist” said: “The Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Imre Laslotski, who has previously served as the Ambassador of Hungary to Kazakhstan, in a conversation with me, said that food, horse and yurt always were the elements unifying Hungarians and Kazakhs. In the 13th century, part of the Kypchaks asked the Hungarian king for shelter and adopted Christianity. Now there are 200 thousand descendants of these Kypchaks, who live in central Hungary. An interesting nuance: if you read Our Father in the language of the descendants of those Kypchaks, present-day Kazakhs will understand what is said there”.
